Birthday Wishes

I think the set is called layering butterflies

Hello everyone,

School has started here so there is lots of activity in the stores. I stayed home and created some cards. The above finished card is a 5.5 x 5.5 . I added an embossing border  around the edges and then layered neenah card stock layer that I used a grey distress ink for more interest and to make it pop. I embossed the layer with SU butterfly folder. The stripes are a silver washi tape and I added two pieces to the center and used one for the banner. The thread in the center is silver twisted around my hand to make the circles. The top butterfly is stamped in perfect plum and the bottom on in pretty in pink. I colored the pearls to match the butterflies. I cut a banner in neenah white and stamped birthday wishes from another stamp set and added more pearls.

I would like to add this card in the challenge

Hi everyone,
This weeks card is made for my granddaughter that is turning 14 in May. Time goes so fast, it wasn't long ago and she was our little baby in diapers.
The card base is white card stock and cut at 7 x 10 and folded in half to make a 5 x 7 card. The first layer is soft sky then on top is another piece of white that I stamped my images on. The stamp sets I used are SU Work of art and the butterflies are by Art Company that comes with five butterflies and dies to match. I used SU ink pads soft sky and pretty in Pink.  I added pearls in the center of the butterflies. Its a soft and lovely card for a teen. I will add this card into this challenge.

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge this month on Faires in Time. The theme is  anything goes. Our sponsor is Digital Paper Crafts and I am using Halloween girl. As you can see I put a gift over the top of the pumpkin making it into a Christmas card by adding a free clipart image. . I don't make a lot of Halloween cards so it just seemed fitting to take the image and change it to suit what I could use. I printed the image onto neenah cs and colored it with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,35,51, R20,22,24,27, N0,2,4,6,8, I added more black into her eyes to make them look bigger. On her top I added a few polka dots. I then used a spellbinders tag die to cut around the image. I sponged blue pan pastel around the background and left a white border. The DSP is recollections botanical noel pad. There is a SU ribbon and a double bow added to the right side. The tree is memory box small tree with a red sequin on the top. I colored the pearls red with R27.  The presents under the tree were cut from a square and a rectangle. I added red marker to make the ribbons. I then added a metal flower from my stash on the top left. To finish it off I took the SU small banner punch and punched out the two gold banners at the top of the card. The small flower that was added above one o the pearls is to hide some of the red copic marker that smeared onto my image. I hope you have enjoyed my altered image card and will try adding something to change your images to make them more versatile.

I will add this image to this challenge.

I printed it onto neenah card stock and colored it with copic markers E000.00.11.51,35,37, R20, BV000,01,02, I then used the sizzix circle dies and cut the image  using the big shot. I then used a smaller circle and used the DCWV stack and then a larger circle with the same stack to make the card base. I distressed the edges and used dimensional foam to layer them onto the card base. The flowers were punched with an small punch then colored with sukura purple glitter ink and added with glue dots. The pearls were added to the centers with glue dots. The ribbon is also from my stash. I added sukura glitter clear pen onto the wings but it doesn't show in the photo. The flowers were punched with a small flower punch using the same DSP. I colored the pearls in the center with R83. The butterfly was punched with a small MS punch. The sentiment is from my word program. I cut a notch from one end and added a few dots around it to make it not fade into the back ground. I wish I had of done the same with the doily. Hi everyone,

Here is my second card for our challenge on 613 Ave Create using Fitztown fae 38. I made a video of the coloring of the card and putting the card together. The section of putting the card together didn't turn out. Being so new at making the videos I have no idea why it did not work. Here is the link to the video. The copic markers I used  were E11,00,0000,35,51, B21,23, R20, SNoir TB1, SU close to cocoa marker. I added some sukura glitter pen to the wings. The card Card base is neenah cs with a layer of SU bashful blue over top. I added a 4" doily cut in half then layered a piece of vanilla cs. I stamped the vanilla cs with hero arts background in bashful blue and then used the matching embossing folder. I used dimentionals on the back and popped it up a bit wonky. I added a CTMH ribbon bow and some pearls. The flowers were made using SU petite petal stamp and matching punch. I colored them in with B21, Y21. The leaves were cut using SU olive green using the blossoms punch. I hope you have enjoyed this card.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor on the Fairy's Challenge for the 15th of July is Aurora Wings digital stamps. I love these gorgeous stamps. They are so much fun to color. I printed the image onto neenah cs and cut it out with the spellbinders grand oval scallop die. I left it in the die and used SU chalk and chalked bashful blue around the image and that left the white border around the image. I added a few dots to the background using SU gorgeous grunge stamp set. I colored the image with copic markers. E00,000,21,51, R02,29, Y26, B21,23, V15,17. I added a lot of sparkle using sukura glitter pen. I decided to add a shirt on her using the R02 and then drew some flowers on it with the glitter pen. I cut the large flowers with MS flower punch and the smaller ones with ek success punch. I molded them and added pearls in the centers. The leaves were cut with MS vine punch. The ribbon was CTMH white seam binding that I colored using the R02 marker. I added assorted pearls randomly. The DSP is from a DCWV stack and I used the MS pointed flower border punch around it for more of a lacy look. I hope you have enjoyed my take on this image.

I will enter this image into these challenges.

Watercolored flowering branch

Hi everyone,
I am using a cute branch of flowers from Beccy's Place. The card base is SU natural cs. I find it goes very well with the watercolor paper. The bashful blue is also SU cs. The image was printed onto artist loft 90 lb paper. The trim on the top and bottom of the card I used the MS trellis punch. The stamp is from SU well scripted set.  I used a spellbinders die to cut the image after it was watercolored. I then used the gorgeous grunge on each side of the sentiment but then I wish I hadn't. So I decided to cover some of it up by putting in some silver sequins and then added some pearls on the top of them. I then decided it looked finished.

I will enter this card into this challenge.

Fairy Princess

Hi everyone,

It was a gorgeous day today so I took my dog for a walk. He is always so happy to go and he has to stop and visit everyone on the street. It was still a great walk though.

We have a new challenge starting at 613 Avenue Create and our sponsor is Fitztown Digital Art.   If you haven't guessed by now I love fantasy art, especially fairies. I choose to use this Fae #29. I printed it onto neenah cs and colored it with copic markers. E00,000,11,13,21, YR21,24,26,  V0000,01, BV00, 000,01, YG61,63, R20,24,81. I added some wink of stella on most of the image. The pearls were from a swirl that were too large so I cut them down so they would fit better. The flowers on the bottom were white and I spray painted them. I added some small spots on the background using SU Gorgeous Grunge stamp with pirouette pink ink. The ribbon is from my stash. I am running out of the white so it is time to purchase more. The base card is neenah cs that I put through the bigshot with a sizzix flower vine embossing folder. The green layer is SU almost artichoke, now retired. I added dimensional foam to the back of the image to pop it up. I hope you find some inspiration from this card.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Aquarius Tilda

Hi everyone,

I started this card last week but just didn't have the time to finish it until tonight. I am pleased with the results. She is stamped onto neenah cs and colored with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,35,51, B12,14,26, W1,3. The back ground of the image was masked and then I chalked with SU bashful blue chalk. I then took  a honey comb stencil to add a bit of a darker blue. It just looks like circles but I like it any way. I added some water flicks with my hand to set the chalk. The water jug was coloured with a sharpie blue metallic. It covered the flowers that were on the just so I added x markes over it in sukura white pen to bring in a design. Now at least I know to colour around the designs. I added some pearls and sequins around the image. And then layered it onto a piece of black cs from scrap pieces. I think it is recollections cs. I decided to add some lashes on Tilda and I love it.

The card base is neenah cs and I used the cuttlebug swiss dots folder to emboss the front of the card. I ended up covering most of the embossing up. The DSP is from DCWV kids stack. I used a MS border punch on the DSP for more interest.   I cut 2 black corners pieces for the top left and the bottom right using quik kuts corner die. I added some blue ribbon from SU  and made a bow. I popped the image up with foam dimensional.

The flowers are from my stash. They were white and I spray painted them with some alcohol mixed with a blue colour. I used a SU flower blossoms punch for the leaves. At the last minute I added the feathers. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things had written sentiments. The sentiment was Dreams can come true. I just wanted the dreams so I took some tape and covered the rest of the sentiment before inking the stamp. I then used a black sharpie to draw a black line around the image and then some faux stitching across the top and bottom of the card. I used wink of stella pen on the corners water and the jug. I also added it around the image frame. It does not show as much as I had hoped in the photo but it is beautiful in real life.

I hope you enjoy my card and find some inspiration from it.

I will add this card into these challenges.
