Steampunk Mimi

Hi everyone,

My post today is for the Fairy's challenge blog. Our sponsor this week is Crafts and Me. I have used this cute stamp called Mimi, you can tell by her hair that she is steam punk. I have not colored one before so it was great fun for me. I printed her off onto neenah cs and colored her with copics. E000,00,21,37,35,33,31, B26,23,22, N0,2,4,6,8. The card base is chocolate chip and the DSP is from Recollection Steam punk stack. The ribbon was added at the last minute. 3 small tags were cut at .75 and I used the photo corner punch to cut the end of the tag in a v. I finished the inside with the left over papers. I will enter this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I have been having problems with blogger lately and  couldn't upload any pictures the last few days. I am now using a different browser and yippee it works. Todays card is a Heather Valetin image called Eleanor and Pickles Pumpkin. I decided she was just too cute not to use her when ever I want. I removed the top of her hat, the pumpkin and pickles. She turned out adorable. I printed her onto Neenah CS white. [it looks pink in the photo]  used the octagon spellbinders to die cut her. She is colored with copic's. The DSP is DCWV and on the right side I used an edge punch. The ribbon and flowers were in my stash. Some of the flowers were popped up with dimensional's. I will enter her into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I would like you all to meet Heather Valetins new digital stamp flowerbed fred. Isn't he adorable! Fred is the free digi Heather @ Lacy Sunshine is giving away for her challenge this week. I thought he would look good in a green house, so I was trying to make this look like he was sitting in a window sill. The card base is DCWV, and the DSP is all from the recollections botanical steampunk stack. I stapled the bottom layer on to the first layer with the tim holtz tiny attacher. I added 4 black brads on each corner. It is just too busy a design to put a lot of embellishments. I printed fred onto neenah card stock and colored him with copics. I fussy cut him out and added dimensional to the back. The sentiment is a dollar store purchase and the first time it has been used. I think I have had it for at least 4 years. I punched it our with an oval punch and added two small daisies to each end. I will add this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

WE had rain the last few days so I colored digis and had a great time. This is one of the image I was coloring. The card base is DCWV 5x7.  I wanted to use water color paper in my printer but all the papers were to heavy. I finally found one called Cranson 90 lb water color and had no problems getting it through the printer. This is the second image of the fairy I colored, I didn't like how the first one turned out. I finally ended up using copics on the paper. It colors very well even though it wasn't smooth paper. I added some leaves from a stamp I had and colored them up also. Then I cut out a memory box swirl and flowers. The ribbon is a double bow I made from my stash. The butterfly was punched out with a recollections punch. The image is from Morgan Fitzsimmons. I will enter this card into these challenges.

Sweetpeas

Hi everyone,

Today's sponsor at the Fairies Challenge Blog is Beccy's Place stamps. This was fun to color and its called sweet peas. I used copic's to color with and cut the image with spellbinders label 6. The papers are GCD Studio paper. This is an 8x8 pack and I liked all the papers in the stack. I used two different papers  for this card and cut them both 4x4 and then again from corner to corner. I had some flower ribbon in my stash so I used it to cover the seam in the center. I added pearls and a white feather to finish off the card. I will enter this card into these challenges.

Springtime with Texas

Hi everyone,

I had a  busy day here but I still managed to take Yogi for a walk. I had to purchace a thundershirt for him today but I have put it off long enough. He has seperation anxiety and I do hope this will help him. I think the problem is that I don't leave him alot. The places I go I usually take him with me. I live in a condo so the barking and whining is not allowed. I was told this would help so if it does it is well worth the price.

On with today's card. Our sponsor at 613 Ave Create this week is Rick St Dennis and this cutie is named Texas and the challenge is anything goes. I printed her onto neenah white CS and colored her with copics. The DSP is from DCWV so I wanted to use some copics to match it up. I used a spellbinders die for the greenery on the and the roses at the bottom I made and distressed them with pale plum ink. pearls were added to the centre and I used the cricut to make the leaves for them. I added ribbon, pearls and rhinestones. I added lots of glitter but it doesn't show much. I will enter this into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I have made a center step card today using a Lacy Sunshine stamp called Aussie Girl Kenna. I just love the little panda.[ OOPS I got caught again, sorry its a koala not a panda.] Lexie you really keep me on my toes. LOL! Look at the expression on the koala's face. This is such a cute image and fun to color. I printed her off onto neenah cs and colored it with copics. I used a corner punch on the image, I think it is from recollections. I added two button brads on each end and the DSP is from ATD [american traditions designs] The papers in this pad are just gorgeous but then I think I am a paper horder so I love all paper. LOL! Some are just harder to use than others. To finish the card I added sukura pink glitter pen and doodled around the frame. I will enter this card into these challenges.
