Pink Christmas

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor at Jacksons Digital Expressions this week is Digis 4 Joy. When I first saw this cute image I knew I had to color this one. Her name is Stormie, she was so much fun to color especially her hair.  I wanted a Christmas image in pinks so this is what I came up with. I used a die cut for the image then I colored her with copics.  The base card is a heavy card stock a friend had given me. I printed Stormie onto neenah white card stock. I embossed the front with a snowflake frame embossing folder. Sponged over top of the snowflakes with an ice blue ink. I then used a glue pen and then added dazzling diamonds . Gotta love glitter for Christmas cards. I added 2 dies, the green flourish and the poinsettia. I sponged a bit of pretty in pink onto the poinsettia. The ribbon is also pretty in pink. The sentiment is printed from my computer. I will enter this card into these challenges,

Hi everyone,

We're still having lots of rain. I'm still walking in it though. I am determined to get some of my extra lbs off. I have a good raincoat now so it's not as bad and I don't get wet except my pant legs. Well now that I have told you my little secret of trying to loose a few lbs. on to my card. This week out challenge at Just A Scrappin' is cheerleader. I found this super cute bratz coloring page of a cheerleader. I  have no idea of what her name is.I printed her onto neenah card stock and colored her with copics. I cut her out and popped her onto DCWV DSP from the party time stack. I used one with a background and then cut a few clouds out. The clouds were too large so I cut them smaller and added dash line to show the outlines.I then layered it onto kraft base card.  The ribbon is from Micheal's bin. I doodled around the edges of the paper and trees in the background. I wrote out the hip hip hooray!! with a sukura white gel pen then punched it out with an oval punch..  The inside is also finished with some of the left over scraps. I added a white piece and used the top note to finish off the inside.I am giving this card to a friend for her birthday. I will add this card into these challenges.

JJ Christmas Tag

Hi everyone,

We have had rain all last week and weekend so I am just staying home today where its warm. Just realaxing with my pets. My family came over this morning and after they left I felt a bit lonely with out them. So I started doing some fun paper crafts. This week at Jacksons Digital Expressions our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. I am using this cute image JJ Calendar Gal Nov. This is the color challenge  so we were to use brown orange and teal. Yeah, I messed up again and didn't see the teal until I added my tag to the folder. Oh well I think my team members are used to me forgetting now and again. JJ's image actually has skates but I cut the blades off and made them into boots. I have colored her with copics I forgot to put the R24 in the copics picture. I decided to make a tag so I have used the cricut cartridge tags bags boxes and more and cut this at 5.75. I used a lot of glitter on this tag using a glue pen and dazzling diamonds. I then took a sukura orange glitter pen and made dash lines around the tag. I also used buttercup liquid pearls in between the dash lines. The poinsettia is made using the 2 smallest dies from the  spell binders poinsettia. I will add this tag into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

Well I'm back again with JJ from Bugaboo stamps. The bugaboo stamps are just so super cute. This cutie is called JJ calendar gal November. I have been making my gift tags so they are ready to put on my parcels. I cut the tag 5.5" from the cartridge tags bags boxes and more. She is colored with copics, cut out and popped up onto Anna Griffin paper stack. The poinsettia is made with spellbinders cut onto SU red card stock then distressed with cherry cobbler. I added snowflakes and did a lot of the sukura clear glitter pen around the paper and poinsettia. The burgandy ribbon is also from SU. I used a  sentiment from JustRite Christmas stamps.  I will enter this tag into these challenges.

Moody Holly

Hi everyone,

It finally quit raining enough to go for a walk. I tried yesterday in the rain and there was no way Yogi would go. He just wanted up and in my jacket. I suppose now I will have to make or buy a raincoat for him. Oh well my other dog Tiny wouldn't walk in the rain either but his coat is too big for Yogi.

Well on to today's card. The challenge on Just A Scrappin is anything goes this week. I am trying to get all my Christmas cards done so here is Moody Holly from PaperMake Up. I colored her with copics but I really need to get some different colors for blonde hair. I made the rose using Sure Cuts A Lot. The leaves were cut with the flower shoppe cartridge. The DSP is from DCWV stack. I used an embossing folder and sanded the front to make the design pop. The sentiment is printed with the computer and layered with the DSP. The ribbon is from the dollar bin. I will enter this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

I am thrilled to say that my granddaughter Alexis and I were asked to be Guest Designers at Lexis Creations challenge this week. This image is called Witchy bear from Lexis Creations The Fairy Dust Crafts Store.I wanted to add texture to the bear using copics and I am pleased with how he turned out. I used a recollections halloween stack with a background image. I cut a little ghost out of the DSP paper and added it as an extra embellishment. The Happy Halloween is printed from MS word. This is such a super cute image and fun to color.

Beary Halloween

Hi everyone,

I am thrilled to say that my granddaughter Alexis and I were asked to be GD at Lexis Creations challenge. This is the card Alexis made. Alexis is 10 years old and loves to craft with me and have sleep overs. We do have a great time. This image is called Pumpkin bear from Lexis Creations The Fairy Dust Crafts Store. Alexis started off using markers but she didn't like how it was turning out. So she took another image and used prisma pencils and gamsol. She really likes this technique and she finds it easier for her to blend the colors. She also used the corner punch on the image. She didn't want to ruin it if she messed up cutting around the image. The papers are from recollections halloween stack and she wanted black and orange. She did well choosing the papers. At the last minute she found a black ribbon and asked me to add it for her. She also chose the sentiment and I printed it off on the computer. I am very proud of her.

Survival Ants

Hi Everyone,

My post tonight seems to have spooks in it. I have done this one 3x and the whole post just disappears. So this will be the last one tonight if it still acts up. Here is another breast cancer card. I want to make at least 5-8 more before the end of the month. I will then take them all to the Cancer center here in town. This image is from the same set as the little bird card I made from Doodle Pantry. The card base is white and the DSP is DCWV butterflies and blossoms. The ribbon is from Micheal's dollar bin. Its actually $1.29 [lol] What has happened to just the dollar bin like it used to be. Oh well inflation I guess. The pink ribbon in the right bottom corner is a sticker pack. I don't usually purchase stickers but I thought this set would be useful to me. I will add this card into these challenges.

Lil Franky

Hi everyone,
At Jackson Digital Expressions this week our theme is Halloween. There is a cute sketch to follow. Lil Franky is one of the new Jacksons digitals and he was so much fun to color. I loved using the green on his face and finding the papers to make him pop. Frank is colored with copics G 13, 24, R5,9, N4,6,8, Y26.15, and then I took a black pen to give him some stitching scars. The background paper already had the little creatures on it so it really added to the front. I will send this card to my Grandson in Calgary. I know he will love it! I will add this card into these challenges.

Hi Everyone,

At Jacksons Digital Expressions this week we have two sponsors. This card is from the stamp Flichia and pumpkins by Guylou. I decided I wanted her to look more like she was just getting ready for Halloween so here she is in the pumpkin patch. This is the sketch we needed to use for our image. She is colored with copics. E11, 00, 000, 37,32, 35, N02, 04,06,08, R81,83, 02,05, 100, The fence is a Just Rite die that I cut in white but decided I didn't like it so I colored it black. The ground was also colorex with copics and it gave it some texture with the patterend background. The image is from Vavaldi font. I will enter this into these challenges.

Hi everyone.

I'm back again with JJ, yeah I think she is the cutest stamps ever. Bugaboo is our sponsor at Jacksons Digital Expressions this week and I have choosen to use JJ Calendar Gals December. I bought this paper stack last year by Anne Griffin and thought it would be perfect with this image and colors. I colored some of the images in the paper just to give it more color. I colored JJ with copics and added some doodles in her hat, dress and her stocking boot. The acorns on the bottom of the image was colored and cut from the same DSP. The ribbon is an artichoke color from Micheals . I also added glitter to the fur on her hat and boots but it doesn't show in the photo. The card is finished on the inside with the same papers as on the front of the card. I will enter this card into this challenges.
