Flurry

Hi everyone,

This adorable image is from Lacy Sunshine called Flurry. I love her stamps and find it fun to colour them.   I printed the image onto neenah cs and coloured her with copic markers. E00,000,21,35,31,37, YG 61,63, G40. I added some pearls and glitter on the snowflakes but again it doesn't show in the photo. My base card is 6x6 using neenah cs. I used the hinge method to make my card. My hinge was 1 " folded in half then glued to the card. Christina Griffiths has a great video here.  I used a spellbinders die called creative book pages two. The border across the top is also in the set. I added ribbon and a larger pearl in the center of the ribbon. Hope you enjoy this card, I will enter this card into these challenges.

Happy Birthday to ewe...

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had as wonderful a Christmas as I did. The family was all together and it was so much fun. The only one that couldn't make it was my grandson Craig and his new wife Shawna. They went to Tyland for their honeymoon. We did talk with them through Skype.

On to my card. Our sponsor at 613 this week is Bugaboo stamps. Optional theme was black and your favorite colour. I printed this cutie onto neenah cs and coloured with copics. N2,4,6,8, YG63,99. I then used a spellbinders die to cut around it. I added some glitter but it doesn't show much. The green cs is from SU always artichoke. The Cheveron DSP is from pinkpaislee Luxe pack. The ribbon is from my stash. The happy birthday on top of the ribbon is a large decorative staple.

Thank you for visiting today, happy creating!

I made a few mistakes on the tracing so I add 2 small snowflakes to hide them. I traced the outline to enhance the image and make it the focal point. I found a really cute chevron DSP from pinkpaislee Luxe pack.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design Christmas sayings. I hope you will join us in our challenge. The image is printed onto neena cs and colored with copics. YG 63, G 40. The Birthday stamp is from SU.  The maple leaf is from a spellbinders die called Orchard tags and accents. I distressed it with SU chocolate chip, Certainly celery, real red, curry. The sentiment is from the same set as the  gecko. He really liked the card and gift card. He ased me when the card was empty when was I going to refill it. LOL!  Hope you have enjoyed. I will enter this card into this challenge

Casino Birthday Card

Hi everyone,
I thought I would share this Birthday card with you that I made for a friend that loves the casino. I printed the images onto neenah cs. The bingo cards were purchaced from the silhouette store and printed and cut them. The slot machine I found as a free image and coloured it with copic markers. No,2,4,6,8, YG 61,63, Y 11, R 22,24. I drew the cherries in the empty slots  and added some red glitter glue from recollections purchased it awhile back but never used it. I thought it would look cute on this card. I am not too fussy on the glitter glue. It flattened right down when dried.  I thought it would be more like the liquid pearls. I drew a curved line around the image and added more red glitter cherries in-between the lines. The bottom right of the card It says Happy Birthday with some scroll work. I then added some sukura glitter clear on the writing.  The DSP is from an older stack of  DCWV I bought a few years ago. The cover is off so I dont know the mane of the stack. The card base is from SU I think it is sage. She really liked the card and I enjoyed creating it for her.

I will enter this card into this challenge

My 2013 Christmas Cards

Hi everyone,

It's the first Wednesday in December and my turn to share with you She's a Sassy Lady today.Thank you Shelia for letting me join you to show everyone what I have been creating.

I thought I would share with you the Christmas cards I made to send out this year. I don/t have as many as Sheila has to give but 50 plus is still a fair amount. These will be perfect to send to in the mail.
I found some beautiful shimmery card stock at Mickeals from Recollections called Christmas Noel Navidad. It has such a beautiful backdrop and I thought it would make quick cards. I added SU reindeer and sentiment, SU lovely as a tree stamps. Just Rite Ornament stamp and sentiment, and Inkadindadoo. I mounted the front panels onto the plain shimmery cs. I was so pleased that the ink didn't smear. I was worried it might being shimmery and all. They are more beautiful in person than in the photo. It didn't take me long to get them all done and now all I need to do is get them in their envelopes and in the mail. If you have a lot of cards to mail this is the way to go. Hope you all enjoyed.

Thank you for dropping by, happy creating!

Hi everyone,

Can you believe it is the end of November already. I was feeling ill for a few weeks but am on the mend and trying to get everything done that I need to do including a few more Christmas cards.

We are having another challenge starting over at 613 Ave Create. The DT theme this week was to use gift packaging. Our sponsor this week is Rick St Dennis. I have chosen to use this really cute Christmas image called We Three Geese. I had fun creating this gift card. The card base is SU red scored and folded in half. I printed the image onto Neenah Solor white cs and colored with copics. W1,3, Y19,15,13, R5,7,9,22,24,27, B23,26, I added some little dots from a package of stickers that was in my stash. I then added distressed marker picket fence to make it look like snow. I should have added puff paint instead. Oh well, next time. The Sentiment is from Justrite ornament stamp set .I then added a white feather to the first goose. The inside sentiment is an older Christmas sentimant from SU. I added the same papers to match the front and added a piece of ribbon. Added a few snowflakes from a punch. I hope you have enjoyed my card today.

Hi everyone,

The weeks just seem to be flying by and keeping me busy. This week over at the neighbor hood of 613 Ave our sponsor is Rick St Dennis. The optional theme is to use the word Peace on our card. I have used this cute angel stamp and colored her with copic markers. E00,000,21,35,37, Y21 R20,22,24, BG10,11,13 N0. I assed a lot of glitter on her wings. I am still trying to figure out how to make the glitter show up on my cards. She was printed onto neenah cs then I fussy cut around her. The base card is neenah. I then used a DCWV DSP stack. I distressed around the edges with SU not quite navy and then added a few clouds. The ribbon is also from SU bashful blue. The banner is from the same paper stack with red distressing around the edges. I cut the wedge our with my scissors. The sentiment is from a JustRite stamp set called Noel Christmas Ornaments. I used the same red as the banner on the inside of the card and added a MS lattace border.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. Happy creating!

Matchbook Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone.

Its Carol here from http://happyexpressions.blogspot.com and I am a guest designer at She's a Sassy Lady  blog this week. Thanks for having me join you this week Sheila.

I am in need of 2 gift cards for a couple of friends. One is turning 70 and the other 60. It always seems to be a bit more difficult to make men cards. I checked out you tube and came across this really cute gift card holder using the SU envelope punch board. Here is the link to her you-tube video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvhXT1elFe4
I have the we are memory keepers envelope board and it is the same as the SU. I followed the instructions in the video and decorated it more manly. I used colorbox for the card base. The DSP is from Recollections fall stack that was on sale at Micheal's for $5. 87. It has a lot of designs that I thought would be great for the men in our lives.

The White piece for the image and the inside are SU white. I wanted vanilla but got it together and realized it wasn't vanilla. It looks fine so the other one will have the vanilla. The stamp set is Autumn Days by SU. I find it a great for men designs. It works great for envelopes too.  The happy birthday is also from SU. The ink used is more mustard, mostly grey and suede. old olive and artichoke markers. I did faux stitching around the image and layered it with the left over from the card base. I then added 4 brads to the image. I hope you like it and have learned something new.

Holiday Cheer

Hi everyone,

It time for another challenge over at the neighbor hood of 613 Ave Create. Our sponsor this week is Rick St Dennis. He has some super cute Christmas images and I choose to use this snowman. The base card is neenah cs and I embossed it with the cuttlebug snowflake folder. I then used some faux stitching using a sukura aqua glitter pen. The image was printed onto neenah cs and colored with copic markers. N2,4,6,8, B12,14,E37,35,Y13,15, R22,24. The red rose and the leaves were made using the flower blossoms from spellbinders and sprinkled with glitter. SU red and green cs. The corner edges were made with the MS mold but I used a soft clay and colored it with copic YG63 and sprinkled with glitter, I am not too fond of the MS soft molding clay or foam that she sells so used another. I found that when her clay is molded it seems to crack when taken out of the mold. The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets JustRite stamps called Noel Christmas Ornaments. I stamped it with black versafine ink pad. The red ribbon is from my stash.

Thank you all for stopping by, happy creating!

Mrs Claus Gift Card

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor this week at 613 Avenue Create is Kenny K digi. I choose to use Mrs.Claus and fussy cut her out after printing her onto neenah solor white cs. I colored her with copic markers. E00,000,21,35,31, R22,24,27, N4,6,8. I created a simple gift card holder die cut using make the cut software and cut with my cricut. Now I am not sure if it would be called a shape card but I  used it anyway.

I used recollections kraft card stock and  S.E.I  DSP using  a Christmas paper stack. I have had this paper for a few years now, I am not sure if you can still get it. I took and embossing folder border edge to use on each side using the big shot. I took a blue geleto's marker to go over the embossing.

I decorated the inside as well as the front. I made a snow drift with scraps. punched our small snowflakes, MS fern punch, and ribbon. The red flowers were cut with the same snowflake punch and I added a dot in the center. The white rose was make using a mold with soft clay. The inside snowflakes are from a larger punch. I die cut the white shape for the sentiment using a spellbinders. The sentiment is SU Best Yet . It too is an older stamp set.

The Micheal's gift card is one that I got from my granddaughter for my birthday. It is just to show that a gift card fits in the space. I might still put a Velcro closure on it. I really enjoyed creating this card.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you enjoyed. Happy creating!
