Lever Fold Birthday Card

This card is called a lever fold. I thought it was so elegant so had to give it a try. The card base is white 5.5 X 11. I layered it with recollections cs and embossed the layers with one of my many embossing folders. The leaves were stamped with the SU botanical blooms set and the flowers were from the SU Birthday blooms.I loved how it turned out. I usually leave the sentiments out until I am ready to give the card away. I will be doing more of this card fold so I created a cut file to make it come together quickly. I hope you like it as much as I do.

I will enter this card into the Simon Says Wednesday challenge.

I have a cute card for you today. Its using  CTMH Seaside shore lighthouse. I also added the SU seagulls. The card base is a DCWV. The yellow layer is A texture from my bin so not sure what brand it is.The second layer is also DCWV. The vanilla is recollections 110 lb cs.I didn't think it needed any embellishments. The card fold is a double diamond popup. It gives a wow and is still so easy to make.

Hi everyone,

Our weather is cold but the sun is still shining. Great day ahead. My DT card for today is for Deedee's Digis.  The name of the set is called Snowman Soup. I choose to make it into a card. The base card is white neenah cs.on the long side with fold at the top. The DSP is from a Christmas recollections 4x6 pad. I used two different patterns. The image was printed onto neenah cs then cut out with a spellbinders die. I let the image in the die and distressed the background using pan pastel. I colored the image with copic markers. B12,14, YG61,63, R39,89,05, N0,2, The snowman shading was done using N2 ,  I did notice that it doesn't show in the photo but it sure does in real life. I then did some doodling around the edge of the image using a sukura glitter blue pen. The star was printed onto neenah cs using the star ornament in the set. I fussy cut it out to where the white piece started so I just had the star and the center. I colored the center all blue and added a crystal button over it. To finish up I used three blue sequin stars where the steam comes up. I did touch up some of the spots of white with my sukura white pen and added some glitter to parts of the image. The sentiment is also from the same set.  I think it turned out super cute.

Hi everyone,
Here is my DT project for this month on Deedee's Digis. This set is called Fall Warm-up. I printed the image onto neenah cs. The base card is Recollections brown cs cut at 4.25x 11 on the long side. I decided on a shaker card. The size is 4x4 and I added 2 layers of foam then added the glitter and rhinestones. I should have added powder before I glued the clear plastic on the top. The glitter is sticking to the plastic. The top layer is a sizzix frame die cut using the big shot using Recollections DSP .  I have distressed the edges of the frame. I added a small orange ribbon from my stash that seems to go well with the leaf in the top left corner. I added a small knot as the bow. The sentiment is also from the fall warm up set cut with SU modern label punch.

I added a shadow under the dog, and drew a few bones and fussy cut them out. The sentiment Dream big is a sentiment that really works for this cute dog. The card base is recollections kraft. I also cut a layer out to put under the image and distressed it with brown ink. I then added faux stitching around the center image. I cut a circle using SU round punches. Deedees digis are so much fun to create with. I am finding I enjoy using some pre colored images.

It's The Little Things

Hi everyone,

Here is my second DT card for Deedees Digis. This is still the montly challenge set called Fall Warm-Up. This time I have used the hot cocoa. My card base is Recollections dark red. The DSP pad had no cover on it so I have no idea what brand it is. I printed the image onto neenah cs and used SU riding hood red and distressed it around the whole image. I did the same with the sentiment. I then added white enamel dots and a beatiful yellow bow. I added foam to the cocoa layer to raise it up over the sentiment. I finished the inside with the same DSP and added white paper to put the writing on.

Wine Gets Better with Age Post it Holder

Hi everyone,

Our challenge at 613 Ave Create this weeks sponsor is Bugaboo and the theme is make a post it note holder or anything goes. I am using this stamp called make it snappy friends. I printed the image onto neenah cs and  water-colored the image with cotmans watercolor paints. My card base is Staples 110 lb vanilla cs cut at 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5 and then the top half was folded in half again. The DSP is from DCWV. It doesn't show much but I wanted the card stock front to look good when it was folded. I added recollections kraft cs around the image for more of a focal point. I stamped two of the SU petite flowers polka dot stamp and punched it with the matching punch. The flowers were inked using kiwi kiss. I had two green gems that I put in the center of the flowers. I was just going to glue the post it note onto the bottom of the easel but decided to make a box to put it in instead. The first box I made didn't fit the post its so I had to recalculate and redo it. I used MS border punch and added a small edge on each side and on the front of the box. They were distressed with SU crumb cake ink. The sentiment is from another bugaboo stamp.

Birthday Goose

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor on 613 Avenue Create this week is Rick St Dennis. I am using this Easter Goose but I made it into a cute Birthday card. I started off by watercoloring this image and I just didn't like it. I'm not too good at mixing the colors yet. Need more practice. So I reprinted it onto neenah cs and colored with assorted markers. The base of the card is spellbinders grand oval die cut twice. I scored the top about .5 and glued the top to the scored edge. I used a recollections corner punch on all of the corners. I then decided to bring in some pink also recollections. I took a MS border punch on the left edge. Added them to the card with a small piece of CTMH ribbon folded and glued on the top with a button I had in my stash. I used dimentional dots on the back of the image and popped it up on the card front. The flowers on the bottom are SU petite petals with the matching punch. The leaves are from SU on a branch punch. I added wink of stella clear onto the hat flower and ribbon broach.  I hope you like my interpretation of the Easter goose.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Ice Day!

Hi everyone,

I hope all of my Canadian peeps had a great Canada day. It was quiet around here and very relaxing. In the afternoon I did some cleaning and organizing in my craft room. I didn't get it all finished so today I will try and get in there and finish it up. The room is small and so crowded. I have too many crafts and not enough room to have the supplies all in the open. I am not ready to give any of them up yet so it is an on going thing (organizing that is).

Well on to today's project. I have made a super cute card from Deedees Digital images. These images are amazing to work with so please stop by the store and see all of Deedees wonderful art work. Deedee also has a monthly challenge blog here so I do hope you will join in.

You will find this Digi here in the store along with lots more wonderful images and sentiments. July's image  is called So cool. Wouldn't this make some really cute cards and scrapbook pages?

You can purchase this month's featured set for just $1.25 in Deedee's shop. If you participated in last month's challenge, you should have already received this set in your email. (If you participated but didn't receive the set, please contact us -- sometimes things do go wrong with email).

For the base of the card I used Recollections black and cut two pieces of the card stock with spellbinders grand scallop oval die using the second to smallest of the dies. I then scored one of them at .5 and glued them together to make the base of my card. I printed the penguin onto neenah card stock and cut it with the smallest die to layer. I colored the image with copic markers. N0,2,4,6,8 R05, I also used the 05 around the edge of the layer. I added white stitching around both the base and layer and then put in some sequins.

I will enter this card into these challenges.
