Toucan Birthday

Hi everyone,

Today's card is created with a Recollections stamp set. The base card is a ready made card also from Recollections. I colored the toucan using stampin up markers. The hibiscus was stamped and cut our with a circle punch. The foliage leaves are from the botanical dies from stampin up. I am not sure what stamp the sentiment came from as I have so many that I forgot what set its from.  I also added a few orange sequins. I decided it needed some stitching around the front of the card to finish it off. I will enter this card into

Simon Says challenge- anything goes

I also added wink of Stella to the center panel pineapple and all of the dots on the card.. The ribbon is SU white seam binding. I will add this card into this challenge.

Glittery Snowflake

Hi everyone,
I am doing some Christmas cards lately.  I have been busy and need to start putting them up on my blog.  This was a fun card to create. The card base is neenah white cs cut at 7 x 10 and folded to make a 5 x 7 card.  I used SU real red card stock for the top layer. I used the SU lacy border punch and punched out a border on each side of the top layer. It left a solid piece in the center of the card stock. It was glued onto the card base. I used the neenah cs for the circle using Q-kuts die. I cut 2 banners using the spellbinders die. They were layered onto the circle. The snowflake was a cut that I had in my stash. I punched a hole in the banners and added a red ribbon and tied a bow. The sentiment is also neenah  card stock. I then added a sentiment. I am not sure what stamp set I used. The red sequins were added randomly. I really liked how this card turned out.

I will add this card into  the
Craftyhazelnut Christmas challenge - cute or anything goes as long as its Christmas
Craftyhazelnut Christmas 2 - Anything Christmas
Thank you all for stopping by and hope you enjoy the card. Have a fabulous day.

Hi everyone,

Our sponsor on 613 Ave Create this week is Aurora Wings. I am using this adorable poinsettia sprite. The card base is neenah solor white cs cut long at 4.25 x 11 and folded in half. I printed the image onto neenah solor white cs and colored it with copic markers. E00,000,11,13, R22,24,27, 39, YG61,63, G67, N2. I added sukura white gel pen to all the little circles to cover up some of the bleed. I also added it back into the eyes. I used a clear sukura glitter pen to add glitter into the poinsettia leaves. The image was cut using a spellbinders die. The DSP is from and SEI paper stack. I added the SU ribbon and made a double bow. The flowers are from my stash. I added small star sequins to the outside of the sprite. I then used a MS small and medium snow flake punch for the snowflakes. I put some glitter paint on the for the sparkle. I hope you feel inspired by something in the card I have created to try making something and joining in our challenge.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge this month on Faires in Time. The theme is  anything goes. Our sponsor is Digital Paper Crafts and I am using Halloween girl. As you can see I put a gift over the top of the pumpkin making it into a Christmas card by adding a free clipart image. . I don't make a lot of Halloween cards so it just seemed fitting to take the image and change it to suit what I could use. I printed the image onto neenah cs and colored it with copic markers. E00,000,11,31,35,51, R20,22,24,27, N0,2,4,6,8, I added more black into her eyes to make them look bigger. On her top I added a few polka dots. I then used a spellbinders tag die to cut around the image. I sponged blue pan pastel around the background and left a white border. The DSP is recollections botanical noel pad. There is a SU ribbon and a double bow added to the right side. The tree is memory box small tree with a red sequin on the top. I colored the pearls red with R27.  The presents under the tree were cut from a square and a rectangle. I added red marker to make the ribbons. I then added a metal flower from my stash on the top left. To finish it off I took the SU small banner punch and punched out the two gold banners at the top of the card. The small flower that was added above one o the pearls is to hide some of the red copic marker that smeared onto my image. I hope you have enjoyed my altered image card and will try adding something to change your images to make them more versatile.

I will add this image to this challenge.

Hi everyone,

I used white and yellow MS glitter. The card base is recollections black at 4.25 x 11 then folded in half at 5.5. The yellow layer is staples vanilla cs. Its is embossed using the SU vintage wallpaper folder. I then used distressed black ink to color the raised areas of the embossing. The ribbon is from my stash. To finish the card I used silver sequins. I added the sentiment inspire by inkadinkadoo #11 with stazon black  onto the bitty banner die from SU. I then used distress yellow to go over the tag a little. I hope you will feel inspired to make a project and join our challenge.

Seahorse Dreams

Hi everyone,

It is my turn to share with you on She's A Sassy Lady blog. Thanks for having me Shelia. My name is Carol and my blog is here Happy Expressions. I started off thinking I would make a shaker card and it changed as I went along. My card base is SU soft sky cs. The polka dot layer is we are memory keepers wedding stack DSP. I had some white .25 white trim tape and decided it would make a cute border. The sky blue layer is 4x5.5. I used SU retired polka dot background using soft sky ink to add the background. I then added Inkadinkado mason jars largest stamp in the set. The seahorses are from the SU set called by the tide. I coloured them with watercolors. The weed is also from by the tide. The bubbles and bottom rocks were added using copic marker BG 10,13,15. It still didn't look quite right so I took a black marker and filled in around the white tape. I marked off half way on both top and sides to add faux stitching. I added the sequins and then printed off some coloring book shells. Watercoloured them and and fussy cut them out. I found this small stamp dream unknown and stamped it with stazon ink and die cut with the big shot and SU bitty banners die. It finally looked finished and I was happy with the result.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Sparkle and Shine Birthday

Hi everyone,

We had a couple of days of rain here and it was nice to have it cool down some. The weather is hot today but not over whelming. We have a few sponsors this week on 613 Ave Create. This card is from the Paper Shelter and the name of the digi is Rose. I printed her and the pre colored background onto neenah cs and colored the image with copic markers. I then fussy cut around her but it looked a bit messy with the curls on her hair so I cut them off. I like the look so I used a stampin' dimensional and popped her onto the front of the card. I added glitter on the butterfly and a few of the flowers. I added a white satin bow and then a sequin and finally a small heart on th
top. Three more of the sequins were added to the left hand side of the card. I stamped the sentiment using two stamp sets. The hello is HeroArtsC1342 and the birthday is from SU teeny tiny wishes using memento black ink.

I will add this card into these challenges.

Thank you for stopping by, happy crafting and have a fabulous day!

The card base is neenah cs and the DSP is from a 4x6 DCWV paper pad. I added a little wink os stella on the highlighted parts. The sentiment is My favorite things sentiment set. Watercolored flowering branch

Hi everyone,
I am using a cute branch of flowers from Beccy's Place. The card base is SU natural cs. I find it goes very well with the watercolor paper. The bashful blue is also SU cs. The image was printed onto artist loft 90 lb paper. The trim on the top and bottom of the card I used the MS trellis punch. The stamp is from SU well scripted set.  I used a spellbinders die to cut the image after it was watercolored. I then used the gorgeous grunge on each side of the sentiment but then I wish I hadn't. So I decided to cover some of it up by putting in some silver sequins and then added some pearls on the top of them. I then decided it looked finished.

I will enter this card into this challenge.

Ice Day!

Hi everyone,

I hope all of my Canadian peeps had a great Canada day. It was quiet around here and very relaxing. In the afternoon I did some cleaning and organizing in my craft room. I didn't get it all finished so today I will try and get in there and finish it up. The room is small and so crowded. I have too many crafts and not enough room to have the supplies all in the open. I am not ready to give any of them up yet so it is an on going thing (organizing that is).

Well on to today's project. I have made a super cute card from Deedees Digital images. These images are amazing to work with so please stop by the store and see all of Deedees wonderful art work. Deedee also has a monthly challenge blog here so I do hope you will join in.

You will find this Digi here in the store along with lots more wonderful images and sentiments. July's image  is called So cool. Wouldn't this make some really cute cards and scrapbook pages?

You can purchase this month's featured set for just $1.25 in Deedee's shop. If you participated in last month's challenge, you should have already received this set in your email. (If you participated but didn't receive the set, please contact us -- sometimes things do go wrong with email).

For the base of the card I used Recollections black and cut two pieces of the card stock with spellbinders grand scallop oval die using the second to smallest of the dies. I then scored one of them at .5 and glued them together to make the base of my card. I printed the penguin onto neenah card stock and cut it with the smallest die to layer. I colored the image with copic markers. N0,2,4,6,8 R05, I also used the 05 around the edge of the layer. I added white stitching around both the base and layer and then put in some sequins.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Maddie and Clover Goth

Hi everyone,

I bought a few of the spectrum markers because they were on a special at one of our stores. The price was $7.99 for 6 markers. I like the marker and they do work well but I think they should have at least made the end caps the color of the marker. I was very surprised to see a different color on the markers and the end caps. If any of you decide to purchase them it is a good idea to download the color chart from their web site. It will be much easier to use them.

I was making this card for the Lacy Sunshine loyalty program. I printed my image and got the background ready when I realized It was Maddy shopping image. So back to getting the right image. The challenge this week is show us goth or and nontraditional hair color. I decided it would be fun to do both. I think she turned out super cute.

I printed the image onto neenah cs on grey scale at 3.5 inches. I am using spellbinders hexagon backgrounds. I chalked the background of the image with bashful blue and yellow. I colored the image with spectrum noir markers. I then added some small flowers from my stash and added some grey to the pink flower in her hat and dark yellow on the flowers. I added wink of stella to all the flowers. Then to fill in the space on the left side I added a few of the sequin stars. I hope you like her try out the challenge.

Thank you for stopping  by, happy creating and have a fabulous day!

Myrtle Diamond In The Rough

Hi everyone,

I made this card with Lacy Sunshine loyalty program using Myrtles diamond in the rough. She is just so adorable. The Challenge is to use dies or punches.I have used a spellbinders shape to make this card. Card base is neenah cs cut twice. I scored the back a half inch and glued them together. I colored the image with copic markers. E00,000,21, 11,13,15, Y13,15, B12,14, R81,83, W1,3. Spectrum Noir CG1,2, DG3. The small leaves were stamped with SU old olive. The stamp is called tiny tag. I then decided to add a bit of watercolor to the background. It did warp the paper a little but not too bad, She also has a small smudge on the right side of her mouth. It was an accident but it just looks like she has a dirty face. I thought it was cute so I left it alone. I then added three sequins.

I will enter this card into these challenges
