Braided

Hi everyone,

I saw a video at stampininperspective  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPZZh_3D_EM and decided to give it a try. Its called a braided card and I found it very easy to make. The card base is SU pacific point cut at 5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25. I got the template from Kims blog. She has the link in her youtube subscription.

I printed the template and followed the directions in the video. I then took a piece of neenah cs and embossed it with a daisy folder in my big shot. I used the SU stamp set called watercolor wonder. I love this set. I stamped the solid piece in the background using daffodil delight, old olive and the repeated with daffodil delight. I then took one of the flower stamps and stamped it with black memento ink. The hello stamp is from the dollar bin at Micheal s. I added some wink of stella pen on the flowers but it doesn't show up in the photo. It really looks pretty in real life. I added a bow using MS ribbon and then one silver and one gold sequin. I really like the braided look and will do this again in other cards. I then used a corner punch on the corners. I hope this card will give you some inspiration.

I will enter this card into these challenges.

Miss Chrysanthemum

Hi everyone,

The weather here is still so hot that I am not venturing out much until evening.  Our second sponsor this week is Beccy's Place. I am using this cut little girl called Chrysanthemum. I printed her onto neenah solor white cs and colored her in copic markers. E00,000,21,R20,81,83, G14. I used a 6x6 paper stack from american crafts. I cut two different papers at 4x5.25 and then cut them in half twice. I decided to use an embossing folder on them, inked around the edges with brown ink. I added a solid color of DCWV solid green on top of the white card base. I fussy cut around the image and propped her up with dimentionals onto another pink layer. On the corners of the layer I used a fleur delis punch. I added a small banner the same colour as the brown cs. The flowers are from my stash and ribbon is from MS. I will enter this card into these challenges.

SC Little Dutch Girl

Hi everyone,

Isn't this SC dutch girl by Krista Smith the cutest image! If you join the Het Dutch Blog you will get this cute image free. If you get the image it is required that you use it in their challenge they have going right now. The base layer of the card is recollections white, and the image was printed on colorbox white.I stitched around the image b/c it just need that something extra. I used a corner punch [no name]. I colored her with copics, adding some color to the background. The grass was colored with SU green markers and then I flicked the darker color to make it look more like grass. I was going to add a few flowers but every time I tried to draw them it looked awful so its just grass. I added the image to DCWV DSP whimsy stack, adding a SU ribbon in bashful blue and 3 half blue circles to the top. Not sure what they are called, Sorry! I used some small flowers from a round ball that had tons of them on it. Took them off and added some yellow copics to give them more color. The larger flower is from a bouquet I had and thought it would look good added to it so it was also colored a bit with copics Y13. I am please with the result. I will enter her into these challenges.
