Red Poppy Elf

Our sponsor this week
Pin ItHi everyone,

Over at 613 Ave Create our sponsor is Aurora Wings. When I first saw this image I really wanted to color it. The name is Red Poppies. It took me some time to do the coloring but I am pleased with the finished look. The card base is black textured AC cs. Then a layer of SU real red cs. The image was printed onto neenah cs and colored with copic markers. E00,000,21,37,5,31, R27,24,22,20, YG 61,63, N2,4,6. The flourish around the image is SU baroque motifs stamped with old olive ink. I added some pearls on the top left and bottom right of the image. I then took some small white roses and added two on the top left and 1 on the bottom right. I wanted a lacy look. Across the bottom of the image I punched out a flower border using an ek success punch.

I will add this card into these challenges
The Squirrel and the Fox- love
Stamping Sensations - wings, fantasy, fiction
Come and Get it - make it girly
Challenges 4 Everybody - anything goes

Thank you for stopping by, happy creating!

This is an absolute delight Carol, it may have taken you a time to colour but stunning. I am a real Poppy fan as well as fairies so ticks all the boxes for me.

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely creation with us at Stamping Sensations challenge.

Carol - this card is absolutely stunning! I don't often use that term - it is reserved for the few that rock my boat! Your coloring is fabulous - love the skin shading and highlights! Love the flowers leaving the very slim white edge around the petals - how creative! The minimal embellishment is perfect in your design. Well done Carol!

Gorgeous card Carol. Love your fabulous coloring. I am your newest follower and would love for you to follow my blog as well.

Thank you for sharing your creation with us at The Squirrel and The Fox.

Unfortunately as it hasn't met the challenge rules and does not fit with the theme it cannot be considered for the prize and has been removed from the draw. The challenge is "Love"; but I don't see anything noted about love on your card or on your blog post.

Please feel free to enter again with a creation the fits within this fortnight’s theme.

Hope to see you again next challenge. Have a fantastic week!! Hugs, Gloria DT
