Hi everyone,
I have another watercolor card to share with you today. This gumnut blossom is so different and I had never heard of this blossom before and I found it to interesting so I just had to color it. I checked our some photos on google for colors they come in and decided on the bright pink. I printed the image onto artist loft watercolor paper and colored it with peerless watercolors. I decided to flick my brush afterwards with the green and pink to color the background. I decided to use a pencil and then with the pearl grey wrote in the name of the blossom. I then added a few large sequins and one small sequin. When it was completely dry I layered the piece onto recollections black cs. The base of the cs is SU natural cs. I felt with the colors I used it needed a bit more color so I have used SU melon mombo cs in .25 strips to frame the image. I am pleased how it turned out.
I will enter this card into this challenge

Beautiful card as always!!!
Wow, I'm very impressed with how well you've coloured the gumnut Carol, especially considering you've never seen one before! Your card is beautiful. I love the way you've echoed the lovely deep pink in the border. Great job.
Cheers,
Beccy
