Here is my project. I used Beach Baby digi from Saturated Canary. I have colored the whole image with copics. I used a 5x7 white card base from recollections and the DSP is from DCWV paper stack. I cut out some of the shells from the paper stack to use as embellishments. The twine is from a large bag I picked up from Micheals that had lots of different colors to choose from. I stitched around the DSP and the image with a sakura brown sparkle pen. I also added some clear sakura pen in spots on the sand and in her pail. The inside was decorated with matching DSP.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the hop with us. Happy Creating!

Pearl's In My Hair

Hi everyone,

Wow! After all the rain we have had, we have finally got the summer we have all been waiting for. HOT! Today's card was made for Jacksons Digital Expressions. He has such wonderful images to work with. Today we are using one of their sponsers images.  A Day For Daisies and I choose to use the image Pearls In My Hair. It is a beautiful image and I so enjoyed coloring it.  Sorry for the glare on the photo but I took so many pictures and this is the best of them all. It is a box I have altered and decorated the lid. I am using them for gift wrap this year. My family does scrapbooking so I thought they could use the image in their scrapbooking if they wished. I colored the image with copics. Added some leaves from a SU leaf embosslet, then added small pearls in her hair.  I made some fimo roses for decoration and added a SU whisper white ribbon. The DCWV DSP works great with the image. This one is for my beautiful daughter. It just reminds me of her.

Papers: DCWV DSP, Recollections white card stock, Gina K white card stock for the image.
Ink: printer ink, copics,
Accessories: SU embosslet leaves, whisper white satin ribbon, unknown small pearls, small fimo roses, Photo Box

I am entering this image into these challenges:
Jacksons Digital Expressions - anything goes
Creative Card Crew - swirls and pearls
Clear It Out Challenge - use something yellow
Stamp N Plus - anything goes
The Ribbon Girl Blog - girlie card
Southern Girls Challenge - Pearls

Summer Fun Mini Hop!

Hi Everyone.,

Hello and welcome to our Summer Fun Mini Hop! We have centered the hop around the summer olympics. Chana is the host of the hop. Here at Jackson's Digital Expressions, we thought it would by "Jolly" good idea to use this hop to introduce one of our new sponsors. So, in addition to the six wonderful images from our resident artist, Robert Jackson, you have an opportunity to win an adorable image from Digi Darla.

The rules are very simple. We are asking this "Burning" question: "What is Red, Yellow, Black, Green, Blue and has Rings?" As you visit each blog, look for the mystery words which are hints to help you answer the question. Return here and leave a comment which includes your answer to the Mystery Question!
Start here at Jacksons's Digital Expressions, post your entry into the challenge and then begin the hop. Here is the order:

I used the DigiDarla baseball girl printed at 3" in Word. I colored her with copics then cut with the spellbinders #5 largest cut in the set.  I drew around that cut and made a frame just a bit larger. I colored the background with chalk. I used SU whisper white and DCWV Far East DSP stack. Added some bright pink twine from Micheal's. I punched out 3- 1/2" circles for the baseballs and added the red stitching with red gel pen. I mostly just kept it clean & and simple.

I hope you will all join us in this hop. Have fun and enjoy! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a message.

On Your Wedding Day!

Hi everyone,
This is my first card as a DT member at Just A Scrappin' Challenge Blog. The theme this week is wedding. I am so honored to be chosen to work with this group of talented people. The card base is 5x7 white recollection card stock. I layered it with my favorite papers DSP DCWV linen stack. It already had a glitter design on the paper. I then used MS Elegant cricut cartridge to cut out the daisy heart and embossed with cuttlebug final press. The couple was cut from the sweethearts cartridge. The brides gown was also embossed with  final press. I added glitter on the gown and the hairpiece. I cut them both on white and colored the birde's hair with copics. E33, Y21. The pink flowers we added from my stash. I used MS lattace punch for the border on the bottom of the card and the inside. The white satin ribbon was added then a flat bow from SU. The bouquet was colored with almost artichoke, around the outside and I used reagal rose to draw in the roses. I added glitter to make it look as though it had some other flowers in it. The sentiment is from a Stampendous set. It is a fun challenge I hope to see you all there with us. I am entering this card into these challenges

My name is Nicey!

Hi everyone,
I am enjoying coloring these little images so much. This one is called Nicey and she is from the Joanna Sheen CD called Daisy and Friends.  I colored her with copics and layered her onto a DCWV card stock. Added flowers, glitter and doodling around the edges. I added the ribbon just because I like ribbon and it just seems to finish of the card. I used a green glitter sukura pen in her bow and the polka dots on the card but it doesn't show up in the photo. It really is very sparkly. I am adding  her into these challenges.
Bearly-Mine - flowers
Try it on Tuesday - anything goes

Papers - Gina K - luxury, DSP - DCWV,

Major Holiday. Gone Fishing Day!

Hi everyone,
This post is to inform you all that June 18th today is go fishing day!

Go Fishing Day

When : Always June 18th

Today is Go Fishing Day. Now, this is my kind of day! It's a day to go out and bring home a healthy, tasty, meal for the family.
Fishing is hard work. The pressure to bring home a "mess of fish" to feed the family is almost unbearable. After all, as the "Hunter-gatherer" of the family, you need to bring home the meal, or the family might starve. The wife doesn't appreciate the difficult task of fishing for long hours under all sorts of weather conditions. The wife thinks we're just out having fun....yeah, right.
Celebrate today, on the shore or in a boat, with a fishing pole in one hand, and your favorite beverage in the other. And, don't go home until you have caught your limit!

The Origin of Go Fishing Day:
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. We were hot on the trail of the creator. We discovered his address. We travelled to his home. As we came up to his door to ask about his creation of this day, we saw a sign on the door. It reads "Sorry, we are not home. I've gone Fishing!"

I am sure there are a lot of people that love to fish but I really am not one of them. Have a great day, happy crafting.

Happy Birthday! Purple

Hi everyone,
I couldn't resist coloring this little image from Krista Smith at Saturated Canary again but using purple. This time I colored her hair lighter and added freckles to her face. I really like the center fold step card but it doesn't really show that it is a step fold in the photo, but if your familiar with the card you will recognize the fold. The corners of the image were rounded with the 1/2" corner rounder. I layerd her onto White card base/ blue mat and DCWV Designer paper from the sweet stack. There is lots of shine using the sukura glitter clear pen. I add feaux stitching around the DS|P and the image. It looked a bit plain still so I add some purple flowers to purk it up.  This is another birthday card for a friend. I have two more cards to make for June birthdays. I really like coloring this little image and will probably make her dress green or red next time. The card will be entered into these challenges.
The Squirrel and the Fox - make it sparkle
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - fabulous folds
Robyns Fetish Challenge - anything goes

Papers" DCWV sweet stack, SU bashful blue, unknown white {sorry I had tons given to me and she can't remember where she got it.} It is nice and heavy, smooth and great for unique folds and copics. Hopefully it will come to her so I can let you all know.
Ink: Printer, Copics: E35,33,21,00,0000, V17,09,04, W1, sukura clear glitter pen
Accessories: bashful blue ribbon, small purple flowers with rhynestones in center.

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day, happy creating!
