Gift Giving

Hi Everyone,
It's beautiful outside to day with the sun shinning. Great day ahead! This card has lots of sparkle bit it doesn't show up in the photo. The frame around Tilda has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder then I added sparkling diamonds glitter around the frame. The coloring was done with copic markers. I added brads and a flower cut from a cricut cartridge. Sorry can't remember the name. I am entering this card into the Crimbo Crackers challenge - embossing

Poinsettia Tree

Hi everyone,

Here is a card I made with embossing folder and chip board tree and a snowflake topper. I sponged the poinsettia with riding hood red and the dots were put in with a gold marker. Added 2" DSP from K&C. The riding hood red ribbon and warm wishes stamp finishes it off nicely. I am entering this card in a couple of challenges. Stamp Creations - Christmas. Tiddly Inks Challenge - anything goes and last for two weeks.

Fancy Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone,

This card is so beautiful but the photo just doesn't do it justice. I made this card for 4 Craty Chickz challenge - snowflakes and The Poodle Parlor - Christmas. I cut the tree with my cricut using the Trim a Tree cartridge. I used some glitter on the tree but it doesn't show that either. The inside says Warm Wishes at Christmas.

Yippee! I got another card made today. Well it was actually 2 but I messed up the first one so this is it. It turned out really pretty but in the photo the glitter looks like it is a gold silver color and it is really a very light green. Either way it is still very pretty. Cute Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone,

Well I am back and it has been awhile but hopefully I can at least keep going now. My friend Catherine has been bugging me and challenging me to get going on my blog. Well as you can see it worked. I am so behind on making my cards and tags so you will see many more in the next month. I cut the basket out quite some time ago to make a tag out of it and I don't remember what cricut cartridge I used. The dog is an image I used in sure cuts a lot and pieced it together. I also used a charm on the tag to make it look more like Christmas. looking.

Here is my quilling card plus I also made a flower from using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. I cut them each a little smaller so they could be layered. I used a large punch for the leaves and used my quilling tool to make the veins in them. The background is embossed with a cuttlebug folder. Added some gems, ribbon and a stamp. The quilling is a heart flower with the stems.

Sorry I only have 1 card to show you but I seem to have lots my mojo somewhere. I am having a hard time getting into it right now so I do hope this birthday hop will do the trick. Thank you all for stopping by to visit. Happy Creating everyone!

Glass Bead Ornament cover

Hi everyone

I am very sorry I haven't posted much in the last few weeks. I have been so busy celebrating my birthday with family and friends for a few weeks and having such a great time that when I sat down to relax I would fall asleep. I have just been having so much fun and didn't want it to stop. Alas life does carry on and eventually has to come back to normal again. I have been working on beaded ornaments covers using glass seed beads and bugle beads with some accent beads thrown in at the bottom. The top one is made using gold and blue and the bottom is more of a deep pink color. This one has the angel accent beads on the four bottom longer ones. I will be doing some other patters later on and I will post those as I make them to show you. These are just so beautiful and make great gifts. The photos do not show up how sparkly they really are. Embellish Me With Quilling Blog Hop!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Embellish Me With Quilling Blog Hop! This is the first hop I have participated in and I am so pleased to have been invited. I havn't done much quilling but I have practiced for the last two weeks and I am pleased with the results. We have some very talented ladies here so do enjoy all the projects! I used DCWV DSP on all of my projects. On this card I have used some yellow quilled flowers and leaves. I am so sorry the picutre is not as nice as the original but my camera has been acting up lately.

Tilda Reindeer

Hi everyone,

I am sure you are all as busy as I am right now, but I am enjoying myself. My card base is 5x7 and I used 1 1/2 scallop square punch to make my background and added stitching around the squares. The ribbon strips at the bottom of the card is from the dollar store. I used wall decor and more to cut the chair at 4". I drew the pads on the chair and colored it in with copics ,again adding stitching. Tilda is also colored with copics and I added stickles to the lace and ribbons in her hair.I added the metal gems with the irock in the center of the squares. The prima floweres were painted with copics and a pink glitter pen. I added a brad in the center. I then added a wobble onto Tilda and put her on the chair. Glitz & Gold

Hi everyone,

Here is my second project for today! This cute little Tilda was made for the Totally Tilda Challenge Glitz & Gold and the Just Magnolia Challenge a sketch. I painted the background layer with hologram glitter to make it sparkle. Added paper roses and painted the glitter on it also. I colored Tilda with copics. The first picture doesn't show the glitter but it is a nicer photo than the bottom one. I am showing both so you can see all the gold and glitter really is there. What a difference the lighing makes. Christmas Ornament with Blue Ladybugs

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted for a week, I have been busy. Here is a Christmas ornament I made as one of my gifts. I always try to make some of my items and the person I made this for likes blue ladybugs. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one and came up with this. I used blue and silver seed beads with 4 large accent beads and 4 ladybug beads. The ornament is also a large silver ball. Jolly Holiday's

Hi Everyone,

Todays card was made for the Just Magnolia challenge white plus one other color. The card base is 5.5x4.25 and I used the eyelet border punch along the bottom of the front and back.. I didn't measure the layers but I used my big shot with the cuttlebug snowflake folder. On the top layer I used stickles and green dots. Sorry again the photo is not showing how pretty it really is. the bottom layer is only the snowflakes no glitter. I have to learn the names of the Tilda stamps so I can at least let you know the one I used. She is colored with copics. I used the cuttlebug on the ribbon but it didn't show up much at all. Let It Snow!

I have used a combination of items on this card. The card base is 5x7 with a layer 6x4.75 DSP. I used a magnolia christmas stamp. I put a lot of dazzling diamonds on the image but the photo is not showing it has any. So sorry you can't see how pretty it really is. I used create a critter for the little rudolph. I drew in the eye and mouth adding a red rhinestone for the nose. Added more rhinestones in top right corner and on the sentiment. I finished it off with a sheer ribbon with sparkles in it. I am adding this card into eight challenges.

A Taste of Christmas

Hi everyone,

Today's card is a very simple one. The card base is 5x7, the layer is 4.75x6.75. The DSP was so pretty that I didn't add any more images to it. I did take a stylus and dry embossed some of the area's to make it show up better but the photo doesn't give it justce. I also applied some dazzling diamonds to the center pods but it doesn't show up well either. I added the ribbon and the sentiment is again from Pink by Design. I am entering this card into the Totally Gorjuss challenge, they are asking for traditional Christmas colors. Anything Goes Challenge is emboss it. I did use the stylus to dry emboss so I think it should apply to this card. Elephantastic Challenge is make a card with a butterfly or a Christmas card. Candy Cane Tilda

Hi Everyone,

I decided I wanted to make something different for a card today so I embroidered my card using my sewing machine. The card base is very vanilla cut at 5.5x4.25. I added a layer of DSP in cream color with the embrodery added to it. I colored tilda with copics, cut her out and popped her up with dimentionals. The ribbon is from the dollar store and the sentiment is Pink by Design winter set. I am quite happy with how this card turned out. I have done embroidery on cards before and I will do it again. Snow Much Fun Reindeer!

I still have quite a few christmas cards to make so here is today's card. Bah! Humbug! challenge this week is use a reindeer and Dottie's World challenge is anything goes and use red. The ABC Challenge is H for holidays. A Spoonful of Sugar challenge is snow/snowflakes. The card base is 5x7 and the snowflake layer is 6.75x4.75. The snowflakes are flocked and that was how the paper came. I took some white CS and ripped the edge to look like a snow bank and added a bit of blue at the top. I then painted some glitter all over it and added some stars. My reindeer is cut from Christmas cheer cartridge at 5". The top layer was cut in white and I used my copics to color him in. I added a bit of white on the antlers and black gel pen on the face. The modern lable punch was used to cut the sentiment out. I then added the metal brads using the irock. I have made this card for for More Than Favors challenge, Lexi's Creations challenge, Incy Wincy Designs challenge, Craft You Passion challenge, Iris's Spot challenge, Dottie's World challenge and the theme for them is anything goes. Charisma Cardz challenge theme is Christmas. Crafty Cardmakers challenge is stitching. The card base is white but for some reason it looks more on the pink side in the photo. I am really quite please with the magnolia Tilda coloring. I find the more I use the copics the better it seems to work on my images. I colored the Magnolia Tilda and the poinsetta stamp with copic markers. I used stickles on some of the background to give it some sparkle. The snowflake is a sizzlet die and cut using the big shot. The snowflake didn't seem to show up like I thought it should so I used stitching to make it pop a bit. I also used the stitching around the card layer.I like using doodles and ribbon on my cards so very seldom will you not see any. Thanks for stopping by for a visit, happy creating everyone!

Todays project is made for Made by Momo's challenge and it is to make anything but a card. The blue one is a candy bar wrapper and the poem is from a joke poem that can be downloaded from the internet. sorry I can't remember where I got it. I cut the snowflake with the snowflake sizzlet die with my big shot. The little box was made using a splitcoast stampers tutorial. I will be happy to get the gypsy update Nov 1st then I will get the tags bags boxes and more free download. I am really excited about that one. Hi Everyone,

I made a couple of cards the same today but changed the faces. The paper was already decorated and all I needed to do was add a tourquise layer behind it to make the picure pop. I then punched a circle and added a face to it. The top face was the baby faces and the bottom one was the princess faces both from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used my irock and added metal stones on the flower centers and the birds eye. The stamp was Scrappy moms stamp. This was so easy and quick and I think it looks really cute. Hi everyone,

The sun is shining here today and it is a beautiful fall day out. I love this time of year not too hot and not too cold. Just perfect! lol! Fantabulous Cricut has a challenge and we need to make a project with at least one leaf. I made this card very simple and plain for a friends birthday. Men don't like to much on thier cards so this is perfect for him. The base is cut at 5x7 and the inside layer is cut at 5x5.5. I stamped the leaves with expresso ink. I used my irock for the metal orange brads. I distressed the outside of the kraft CS with the expresso ink. Easy peasy card to make, but I think it still looks good even though it is very plain. Sweet 'n Sassy

Erin Lee Creative is having a Laughy Taffy Sassy Challenge. LOL! That is a mouthful! I also used the sketch from Stamps R US challenge. The card base is 5x7 scored at 5". The second layer is a texture paper cut at 3x4 and the tan layer I used the paisley cuttlebug folder for the background and it is cut 2.75x3.75. I cut the girl out with my Rock Princess cartridge and all layers were cut at 2.75. The pillow was cut from the everyday paper dolls cartridge. I added some prima flowers and gems in the centre of them. I had picked up a rhinestone word hello on sale and cut the top part of the E off it was double layers and used it for the gemstones top right corner and bottom left corner. I did put some glitter on the flowers, crown, shoes, picture corners but the photo really didn't show there was any. I finished it off with ribbon and faux stitching around the card. Hi Everyone,

It's nice and sunny out today but it is cool! I made this card for a couple of challenges. Winter Wonderland challenge is give it a vintage look and A Spoon full of Sugar challenge is winter wonderland. My card base is a white 5x7 and the first layer is cut at 5x7 and embossed with the cuttlebug folder snowflakes. the picture is an open stock that I used orchid opulence to destress the outside of after I ripped the edges.I added snowflake ribbon and 3 rhinestone purple brads. The sentiment is from the Pink Cricut Design winter stamp set. I used a spicka sparle pen to add extra on the snowflakes. Dinosaur Birthday!

Hi Everyone,

Emma at My Creative Time challenge this week is a combination of doing a RAOK and using Every Day Paper Dolls cart make a card or project using an animal. For my RAOK My sister is deaf and they have a new deaf church that was looking for all kinds of donations that would help them get started. I donated lots of printer paper, card paper, DSP etc. They were so thrilled to receive it all and it also made me feel good doing it for them. Now for my project I made the cute little dinosaur using Paper Doll Dressup. I used my gypsy and welded two of them together. The card base and the layer were cut at 5". I used white gel pen to make the marking show up on the dinosaur and added some neutral thread as a bow. It was one of the simplist cards I have made so far.

My friend Cat Over at Cat's Creative Corner told me I should join in on the Color Me Copic challenge b/c I had more copics to use than she did. I used a 4x4 white for the card base and used the cuttlebug folder textiles to the background. I added DSP cut at 3" for the green layer. I used the tinkerbell cartridges with the crikits gel pens and then cut after using the cricut. I used glitter paint for the wings and the dust. I found out you really need to line up the cut your doing properly to get the cut just right. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's and then punched out with the large oval scallop. I added some rhinestones as a finishing touch.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share with you this card I made for a very sweet neighbour of mine. She was going through her stash and getting rid of things she didn't use any more. Well I was fortunate enough for her to think of me when it came to her card stock. She gave me tons of heavy white and cream colored CS. I was just so thrilled I wanted to espress my gratitude to her. I am a paper horder so this is one of the best gifts anyone could give me. Thank You Hazel! The card base is 4x4 scored at 4". I added the border using the border punch. I stamped the flower first onto the white cardstock and then onto the DSP and cut out around the flower and glued it to the white image. Certainly celery was added to the leaves and to finish off the card I used a pink ribbon and added the thank you stamp. It was a very quick and easy card to make. I am entering this card into My Pink Stamper challenge. The challenge is to make something for someone so I thought this would be good to use for the challenge.

It has been raining and quite dreary here today but that is Ok b/c I am staying in today to get some things done around the house and of course to play. Todays card was made for Emma's My Creative Time challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a shape card using create a critter and include the color orange. The orange is in the worm and his antena. I used my gypsy to weld the apples together and cut it at 6" the worm was cut at 2". The label was sized to cut with the apple so it would fit nicely, although it is a bit bigger than I thought it would be. The sentiment is from the Pink Design stamps everyday.

Halloween Door Decoration

Hi Everyone,

Peachy Keen challenge this week is create a layout or project based on the season. The only catch is that it can't be a card! I have been working on this door hanger for a few days and I am now very happy with it. I cut one piece 8x8 sq and the top was cut 8x2.75". I used the LO from Emma at My Creative time b/c it is such a great LO! The pumpkins are cut at 2", monster is cut at 3.5" the faces are Peachy keen monster stamps. The spider and trick or treat sign and the skulls are cut from the back of one of the papers I used. Happy was cut at 2" halloween was cut at 1" in glitter paper. I used white gel pen and doodled around the edges. I am leaving it on my door all month and then I will change it to a winter or Christmas scene.

Hi everyone,
I was down with a bad cold but I'm feeling a bit better so I made this card for the Winter Wonderland Challenge. The theme is to use red and green with boughs of holly. I am not really sure of this card yet it just seems like somthing is missing or maybe it just needs to be a bigger sizse. I cut it with the cricut at 4.5" sq. Boo Spider!

Hi everyone,

Isn't this the cutest little spider you have seen? I was browsing the rock princess handbook and came across this little cutie. This was it! When I put my glasses on to get the cuts I needed I had a good laugh b/c it wasn't a spider it is a heart with wings on page 54. Well I decided to go with my original idea and made the spider. The base is cut at 5.5 sq. and used the peachy keen monster face stamps. The boo letters were cut from the micky font cartridge. The white web is cut at 3.25" and inked with black ink spot. the strips of kraft paper was cut at 1" and put into the big shot usng the cuttlebug herring bone embossing folder. Spider was cut 3". I am entering this card into three challenges this week. Stamps R Us challenge is a Halloween theme. Peachy Keen Challenge is to use their sketch and kraft CS. The Pink Stamper challenge is anything goes.

Hi everyone,

Have you ever had a crafting day and nothing was working right, well today was that day for me. I even finished putting the layers on and attached it to my card upside down. I didn't realize it until it was to late to take it off. so I cut the layer off and added it to another card base. I decided to make an inchy card. They are so much fun to make. DCWV has a paper stack called Sweet stack. The paper is georgous in it. I used the 3/4" sq punch to punch some of the images on one of the papers to layer it with the 7/8" punch. Pear Tree Designs challenge this week isa pink theme, so this fits the challenge well. Who doesn't like pink?

Hi Everyone,

ABC Christmas Challenge this week is S for Santa but not red. I decided on the pink and used the copics markers #0,E00,E02,R20,RV11 pinks,YG11,G17,W1. On santas hat I used dazzling diamonds glitter. Around the frame is gold matalic marker. The shimmer paper just seemed to make the card pop a little. Adding the ribbon and pink card base. I am looking at it and thinking I should have added some stitching so If I make any changes I will add the photo on to this post. Hi everyone,

Tuesday Taggers challenge this week is to use a project that features a house. I thought is was a great idea so I just had to join in. Their sponsor this week is the Craft Barn and we are to add a link in our post to them. Raise The Bar challenge is wanting a hut on your project. Any type of home. I used the cut for the light house from wall decor and more cartridge and cut it at 4". It had 2 layer to the cut but I added some paper behind the windows to make it pop. I used an embossing folder on the lighthouse, hoping to make it look like it had bricks. The cloud was cut by hand and I should have made it a bit longer to go behind the lighthouse, but I didn't think if it untill I had finished the card. The seagulls were cut at 1" using life is a beach cartridge. I didn't have a sentiment I wanted so I used the computer and typed it up. I used the big shot with the top note die for the frame and added white stitching around the frame to finish it off.

Fairy Anniversary!

Hi everyone,

This card was made with the Saturday Sketch challenge this week. Paper Play challenge was looking for an anniversary theme but I was too late entering the challenge.. I decided to combine the challenges together but I didn't want a triditional anniversary card, here is the 5x5 card. A fairy blessing the Anniversary with her flower wand! I know I can sometimes live in a fantacy world. Oh, but what fun that can be! I colored the fairy with copic markers. I made a mask and then spray painted the background. Then for the bottom border I used a stampin up wheel, painted glitter over top of the border to make it pop.Prema flowers were added after I painted the under one of the layers of flowers to look like leaves and added a rhinestone. The ribbon just finished it off. I would be so please to hear from all of you to let me know what you think of this non traditional anniversary card.

Hi Everyone,

I used DCWV winter song paper stack and decided to make a scene for this card. I stamped the background with the trees scenic season stamp. Put glue at the bottom of the card and used dazzling diamonds glitter. For the snowman I cut it out with the winter woodland cartridge at 1.5 in. all white, and colored it in with my markers. Rudolph was cut with create a critter at 2.75 in, I drew in the eye and colored it using black gel pen and highlighted it with white gel pen,. I popped him up with dimentionals. Embellished using the ribbon and the holly in top corner and doodled around the frame. I am entering this card into a few Challenges.

Flamingo Birthday

Bitten by the Bug2 challenge is using Life is a Beach cartridge flamingo. The catch was to make the flamingo any color but pink to really make it a challenge. This was a fun challenge to do and the Design team cards are just so beautiful that I needed to make a flamingo for myself. Check them out and see for yourself how adorable they look. Second was Fantabulous Cricut challenge and the theme was Tropical. The DT had some great cards also. I used the cuttlebug folder Victoria for the background. Cut the flamingo at 3.5, added faux stitching and stickles.

Hi everyone,

It time to do the Throw Back Thursday challenge with Emma over at My Creative Time. This weeks challenge is to use Tinkerbell and Friends and make a princess card. I don't have Tinkerbell yet so I used Paper Doll Dress UP to make my princess. I then desided to use the colors navy blue, hot pink and mustard for the challance over at The Play Date Cafe and combine my challenges together. This is my card. I didn't have any hot pink except for the pink in this DSP. I think it turned out cute and I am happy with the result. I wrote the hello in black pen, punched it out with the word window punch.

Fawn-tastic Album

This 6x6 album was created for the One Stop Craft Challenge- not a card, One Stitch At A Time Challenge-say it with shapes, Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge- anything goes + a stamp or digi image and Cuttlebug Challenge- Book it. I had fun making this album and the llittle fawn turned out so adorable! I colored the eye in with expresso ink and added the white with my gel pen to give the fawn more character. I couldn't leave out my stitvhing now could I!

Hi Everyone,

My Creative Time with Emma this week is making a frame using Paper Dolls DressUp. I thought it would be so easy but when I tried to weld a few things together it didn't work. I finally decided on the emblem as my frame and welded two together for the card and then glued it to a 5x5 card stock background to give it more stability. I drew the face onto the camel and added some markings to the humps. The background sky is brayered with bashful blue. I'm very pleased with how cute it turned out.

Hi Everyone,

I picked up my mail this morning and there was the little die cut that I won. I decided to use it in the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I used versa mark and a border stamp to give some dimention to the plain background in the pink and green CS. I then took my chalk and a cotton ball to put the same color to make it pop more. I colored the bandana with my copic markers and wrote the Hi There with black gel pen. I cut the envelope out at 2" on my cricut.

Poinsetta Tag

Hi Everyone,

It was so hot here today, it is best just to stay in with the AC. Temps today was 37c and when I took my dog out for his walk we were back in fast. On to todays project, a tag for Winter Wonderland challenge. The shape of the tag was made with Once Upon A Princess cart. and the poinsetta was cut from Joy of the Season cart. I added the markings and stitching with a black gel pen. On the background of the vanilla tag I used versa mark and a stamp to make the background. I then used chalk ink to make it stand out. Then I used perfect pearls homemade mist to spray the entire tag. The black behind the tag is an 8.5X11 card stock to make the tag show up better in the photo. Penny's Paper Craft challenge is anything goes.

Hi everyone,

My card is made for a couple of challenges. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and Pear Tree Designs challenge is a male theme this week. I am pretty sure this card can be used for male or female. It's cute at 5.5 square. I don't do many square cards that large but this sketch just seems to need a larger area to make it work for me. I added dazzling diamonds glitter to the sprinkles but it doesn't show up in the photo. I also had to add my doodle art to finish my card off.

Girly Lamb Shaped Mini Album

Hi Everyone,
This little cutie is the first shape album that I have made. I had a lot of fun creating this one. There was some problems cutting the chipboard but otherwise all went well. Isn't she just so cute! Lori over at Fantabulous Cricut has a Scrappin' Saturday Mini Album Challenge on her blog this week. The challenge is to make an animal shaped album. If you like to make albums go check out her site. it's awesome. I drew the face in my little lamb with the tutorial from Melinda at Cooking 'With the Cricut. The instructions were fabulous to follow. I didn't cut out shapes to use I actually drew the shapes and then colored them in with black marker. I used the white gel pen for the highlights in the eyes. She has a great blog, go check it out. Today's card was made for Cricut Cardz challenge but when I went to Mary's blog to get the link it says to make a get well card and use green, blue, black and white Only! Well obviously I didn't read it correctly the first time because as you see my barn is red and I also used blush blossom. I will enter it anyway but I know I won't be in the running for the prize. I think this card turned out so cute! I had a bit of a time trying to figure out how to add the nose without the face on it so I could use my peachy keen face stamps. I finally stamped the face and then punched out a large oval and used my marker to add the nostrils. I also just colored over the green with black to make the spots. We have a new baby in the family and today was the day we finally got to see him. He is so adorable and super cute! the parents named him Dylon, different name but it suits him. I was looking for something to inspire me to make a scrapbook page. I had a few ideas picked out but I went with Cooking with the Cricut ideas. She inspires me to create. If you haven't checked out her blog, you should it is just fabulous. This is the layout I finally went with. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Made by Momo's Tuesday challenge this week is a "Girly Affair". I thought this would be a perfect card to enter. I used the Wall decor and more cartridge for the shoes and the frame from Storybook cartridge. I am sorry the card base looks black when it is brown like the ink I used on the tag. I used a silver gel pen and did some doodling around the base of the card. I find doodling or stitching just seems to finish the card off. It is so super cute! Thanks for looking.

Celebrate Birthday

Hi Everyone,
What a great day it was here today. The weather was cooler and it sure made me feel loads better. Every Thursday in our town during the summer we have different bands play and sing at our park. Tonight was an Elvis impersonator and he was so good. I love to listen to Elvis's songs.

Well on to the card. It challenge time again at Emma's My Creative Time and I just love her challenges. It's always something fun. This week was to use the Celebrations cartridge but I don't have it so I used Doodlecharms. Peachy Keens challenge this week is a sketch so I have combined them both into this card. I cut the envelope on page 86 at 2" and the flower is on page 90 cut at 1". I used the Everyday paper dolls stamps and used the smallest stamps on the package. Isn't this so cute! I just love all the Disney characters. I needed a childs card so I used the Pooh and Friends cricut cartridge. It also fits three challenges I want to enter, Create4Fun sketch and The Corrosive Challenge Blog cartoon time. I cut Eeyore at 2 3/4" but next time I woud make it a larger cut. Some of the pieces were so tiny, but I did enjoy putting him together. The third is to use real or faux stitching for Lexis Creations.

Christmas Poinsetta

Emma at My Creative Time has her Thursday challenge up. This week we are to use the Wild Card cartridge and to make a project with your favorite holiday. Well I am very sure you can guess by my card what my favorite holiday is. I used the flower on page 56 using DS and made them in different sizes. I ran them through the big shot using the petals a plenty embossing folder. I pinched the tips of the flower to make them turn up a bit and look more like a poinsetta. I wanted to make a happy card tonight and this one makes me smile, it is so super cute. I just love this look on her face. I used the Tahiti beach pack DSP from DCWV and the background is just adorable with the flower and squares on it. It looks like it is black but it is brown. I really like the DCWV DSP so I find I have more of their paper stacks than any other brand. The cut is made from wall decor and more cartridge. It has so many cute designs for everyday occasions. Cricut Cardz Challenge has a new challenge up. Christmas in July. I used Joy of the Seasons cricut cartridge and cut the pieces at 4". The face is done using the Peachy Keen Christmas character face stamps. I love the face stamps, they make the characters come alive. The sentement is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, and they are just adorable.

Its Throwback Thrusday over at Emma's blog My Creative Time. She has such great talent everyone should check her blog. The challenge this weeks theme is to make an animal on your project with the cartridge "Zooballoo"! I don't have that cart so I used Animal Kingdom. I cut my lamb pieces at 4" I used the DCWV nana's nursery again but I find that not all of the papers are just for babies.

Rasberry Fest

After Canada Day we have our Rasberry Fest the following weekend. This year is was on July 3rd and 4th. It is always so much fun with rides for kids loads of adult entertainment and sales. One of my favorites is to have some strawberry shortcake and listen to the different musicians and dancers that play on stage. I live in a condo and I can see some of tents and the excitement from my place.I hope everyone had as great a weekend with family and friends as I did.

I just picked up my Cindy Loo cartridge from Michaels and I love all the florish designs in it. I cut the border 5.5 with fit to length and the frame to match. I am so please with the results that I am going to enter it in the Papertake Weekly Challenge. The challenge this week is to use stitching on your project. I will add a sentiment later.

DGD's Projects

I wanted to share with you a project my DGD and I did this past weekend. She wanted to paint an A for her door and have it sparkle, We used folk art acrilic purple, let it dry and then added dazzling diamonds for the sparkle. Pretty in pink ribbon was added to make it pretty. The little book was made with DCWV DSP, and then I used the bind it all. The little dog was cut with whisper white CS and the cricut using the create a critter cartridge. The face was stamped with the creata critter Peachy Keen stamps made just for the creata critter cartridge. They are the cutest stamps.

I went to Michael's this afternoon and purchaced a shadow box for my 8x8 scrapbook page. It looks much better than the one below.

I have been making a scrapbook for my mother. She was diagnosed with alzheimer's 5 years ago. I decided to make this scrapbook so we could go through it together when she doesn't know who her family is any more. My mother is the sweetest person and everyone loves her. We really have a good time when we get together. I made this page for her birthday when I took her out to her favorite chinese food resturant. I stamped one of Peachy Keen Dolly Dumpling face stamps on the bowls. I just love the way they turned out. So cute! Their challenge this week at Peach Keen Stamps was to make a shadow box. I don't have a shadow box in 8x8 so I put it in my 12x12 box. It still looks cute and I think I will leave it there for awhile.

Happy Snowman

Todays card did not turn out as expected but I think it turned out cute anyway. I started off using the design studio for the cricut. I thought how easy this is going to be. I wanted a snowman card no background. I have no idea what I did wrong but it cut the snowmen out seperately even though I did weld it. I really need to learn DS better. I then decided I needed to use the pieces anyway and this is what I came up with. This challenge is for My Creative Time Thursday challenge with Emma. We needed to use the colors blue, brown and red. I also used the Peachy Keen Stamp for the face. I also added lots of stitching to make the image pop more. I hope you like my end result.

Made by Momo has a challenge on her blog every 2 weeks on a Tuesday and 1 winner a month, This months giveaway is the cricut cartridge Cindi Loo. This is such a cute cartridge and I would love to win. The challenge is to make a graduation card or a congratulations card would be accepted.

This was made for my DD Cyndi for her hard work in training her puppy Porchia. Porchia went to puppy school but had a hard time being around other puppies. Anyone that knows a Yorkie knows they think they are a larger breed of dog and should be boss. Porchia is the cutest little yorkie with an attitude. lol but she is so sweet and cuddly. All of the dogs in her puppy training class graduated to the next level. Porchia received Congratulations diploma for completing her puppy class and was asked to return to the next puppy class. LOL

I had a lot of fun making this card thinking of my DD as I made it. I don't have a cartridge with a grad hat so I came up with my own version. I have ordered the Peachy Keen Stamp set Critter faces and it should arrive in the next couple of weeks. I can hardly wait to get them. The faces are so adorable and will really make my critters look fabulous.

Hear Me Roar

Emma over at My Creative Time has started a challenge called Throwback Thrusday! Emma's idea is to focus on some of the older cricut cartridges. This week the challenge is to make an animal, so I made this cute lion from the animal kindom cartridge. I love the Peachy Keen Stamps and only had the med animal faces that were too big for this lion. I had no choice but to draw the face in my self. I have just put in an order from Kathy so I will have to wait until my next order to purchace the smaller animal faces. I didn't have a sentiment that was appropriate so I wrote it in with chocolate chip marker. The out side says "Hear Me Roar" and the inside says "I'm not Lion, Out of all the people on earth, You are the best since the day of your birth. I hope your Birthday is as wonderful as you are." This card was made into a gift card holder. I hope you like it.

My Pink Stamper has a super giveaway for father's day. She is giving away a Cricut Expression Machine. How great is that. Here is the card I am putting into the challenge. My husband loved to cook but her still loved me to get his morning coffee for him. This card is made for my son because he also loves to get his morning coffee. I guess he picked it up from Dad. Cupcake Birthday

I cut the card at 5 1/2 " so I thought I needed to cut the cupcake at 5 1/2" but I was wrong. It was larger than the card. I then cut it at 3 3/4" and it fit the card muchbetter. I am not sure if all the cuts will be the same on this cartridge so I will have to test some of the cards out and find out myself.

3x3 Tag

I wanted to share with you the gift tag I made. It turned out really cute. I used the cricut cartridge Create a Critter. I cut this critter and all the layers at 2.5. and the tag is 3x3. I am going to put a hole at the top and add some ribbon to tie onto the package. It is very simple and quick to put together.

Just for you Elephant

I love making cute critters. I used the animal kingdom for the elephant and the Plantin Schoolbook for the grass, the background is kraft CS and in the neighbourhood DSP. I added hemp and the face is using the Peachy Keen animal faces. The sentiment is from SU teeny tiny wishes. This critter is so cute! I am going to send it with a letter to my DGS in Calgary. I sure miss him. I made this critter for the NSD at My Pink Stamper for challenge # 12 Critter-licious. Isn't that a cute name. The challege is to make a scrapbook page or a card using any critter.

Make a Wish

This cute little stamp set is from PinkCat Studio in Canada. It's a set of 8 stamps and a great set for girls of all ages. I used my cricut to cut the inside shape of the card. It's different and I thought is was so cute. I also used a glitter gel pen for some of the areas of the image.

Happy Birthday Fish

This is the techniuue of using the negitive of a sticker pack and colored it in for a stained glass look. I used some sparkle but it doesn't show as much as I would like it to. It must be the angle of the photo. I think this would be great for a masculine card. It is so super cute!

Craft Show Goodies

We had a large craft show here in Abbotsford this past weekend. I have been to the show each year now for the past 3 years. I love everything about it, especially all the make and takes. The problem is then I want to buy all the products I have used. I usually go with the ones I loved the most. I have taken pictures of the projects I did this year to show you. They are just awesome.

I love the layout and wish I had marked down who the papers were from so I could buy them. The DSP is georgous.

This little card used the spellbinders scallops, putting 2 of them together. The stamp was from Hero Arts. So cute!

This stamp is all in one and then just colored the butterfly and added some sparkle,

This card is a gift card holder, so easy and so cute to make.T he leaf is using the negitive of a stickers pack and watercolored to make the stained glass look.

A layered shoe card but the Just for you was using the foil technique using a heat pen. It took a bit of practice to get the pressure proper to make the foil adhere to the card stalk. A cute technique but I think I like the stamp sentiments or the computer sentiments better.

Here is another gift card stained glass look same as the leaf card above using the negitive of stickers. I really like this technique. It is so quick, easy and the effect is georgous.

This is my last project making this little bag. We had so many laughs and of course mistakes but it was sure fun to make. We did the free hand stippling, my first time at trying it and It was so much easier than I thought it would be. We were also showed a tip on how to use glue to put the zipper on. It will be great to show my DGD how to put a zupper on with ease. I hope you will be inspired to try some of these techniques your self.

I will now make some of them on my own and hopefully my mind retains all the info. to make them. LOL
